Annually, the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) recognizes outstanding achievements in adult education through the prestigious Grundtvig Award. The EAEA Grundtvig Award highlights project results that produce new ideas, partnerships, methodologies and a new understanding how we can work in adult learning.
In the 2023 edition, the spotlight was on Adult Learning and the Green Transition, and GreenerAge was prominently featured in the transnational initiatives! Congratulations to the winners, “Building Green Skills for Circular Economy” and “Women’s Economic Empowerment in Shirak and Gegharkunick Marzes” as well as all other participants! GreenerAge consortium is honored to stand alongside excellent initiatives from across Europe.
Named after Nikolai Frederik Severin Grundtvig (1783–1872), a pioneering Danish educator, the Grundtvig Award pays homage to his significant contributions to non-formal adult education. Grundtvig’s philosophy, emphasizing the intrinsic value of learning for a meaningful and enjoyable life, serves as the foundation for much of the work in lifelong learning
